Is there a way to delay the loading of font-awesome.min.css?

//maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/font-awesome/4.6.3/css/font-awesome.min.css

Are you loading it via the template or the shortcodes plugin?

I didn't even realize that is was in both, but if I disabled it in the template then the Zen-menu icons do not load.

Which is better/faster?

If you disable in the template you need to enable it in the plugin via the cdn

Although running optimisation might still cause icon load problems
