alternate links opening new tab

On the portfolio section (front page) I can't seem to get the hyperlinks to open in a new tab. Am I missing something? It's a zen tools module with alternate links and I've selected New Window in the image and text link options.

Have you tried using manual links instead alternate links?

Have you tried with images and open in new window?

I just went back to check and it works fine now without using manual links. A guess some caching is active somewhere.
