Hi,

I have a problem with Offcanvas trigger text.
If I use my language characters, I have unicodes (eg. u0104) displayed instead of characters.

I have no problem with my language characters in any other place so far.


Can you help me with this issue?

Hi Paul,

I've been trying to add some words that contanins polish language charakters.

In example above I have insert word "więcej" (polish for "more") in offcanvas trigger text field.
Instead of this I've got "wiu0119cej" where unicode u0119 was inserted in place of letter ę.

This is also happening for other polish letters. I didn't check it with other "non-standard" unicode characters.

What font family are you using?

Does it support polish?

I'm usung google open sans. This font support polish. I've tried other font families with same result. There is also second place where this is happening. It is hidden panel which has also trigger text defined in template settings.
In all other parts of website I don't have this issue.

I've done some digging, and I found out that offcanvas trigger text is displayed properly if I put "\\u0119" instead of leter "ę" in template off canvas settings -> and this is working for all other polish characters.

2.
As far as I found out template settings are stored in buildr/settings/config/ in files config-XX.json
If I put simply text "Więcej" in template offcanvas trigger text field, it is stored in config file as "Wi\u0119cej"
If I edit config file and replace this by hand to "Więcej" it is also displayed correctly on website.

To summarize: I think that all language specific character would be displayed properly if they were stored as unicodes with two \ (e.g. \\u0119) and not with single \ like it is now.
