Buildr Issues

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

I am having a problem (which is probably just me!). I am using Buildr and love the template. I have been away from my site for several months and now just getting back into it, so I am a bit out of date.

First, when I try to pull up modules created with Zentools 2 I get a very generic page and no options at all, not even a save option. It isn't right and I don't know what is wrong.

I also have a page I will be using for a landing page. I created a dummy menu and assigned the article to that menu, and assigned it to the Buildr Background template. However, nothing changes on my page. I have tried a couple of different Buildr templates and nothing changes. Am I doing something wrong? The page in question is www.docksideproperty.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=228. It should only have the canal photo on it.

Thanks,

Roy

OK, I downloaded and re-installed Zentools and it seems to be fine now, but the other issue is still a problem!

Thanks,

Roy

Hi Roy,

Are any changes you make setting wise being saved?

Cheers

No, they don't appear to be.

Before you try and save can you have the browser console tab open?

Are you familiar with the browser console?

OK, I think I found the console! What do you need from it?

Have the console tab open and watch what it does when you click the save button

I don't see any problems. It looks like everything is working fine for the compile and save, at least as best I can tell!

And the changes still isn't displaying on the front end of the site?

Do you have caching turned off on the server / site?

I deleted cache from both Chrome and in Joomla. Still nothing.

I even removed all of the modules from the template, except the main content, which is enabled. However all of the modules are still showing.

Does your site host have a cache? (Mine does - it's enabled by default on installation, and I have to remember to turn it off while I am developing.) Someone also identified CloudFlare can cause this problem, too; putting it into 'development mode' solves the problem on that service.

I don't think it does. I searched on the host for Cache and didn't find any. I have used this host for years and developed a lot of sites never having an issue like this.
