Looks like the border is on the logo image

I'd try with that removed - may make your life easier lining it up

try adding

.utafiti-slideshow-hero {border-top: 4px solid red;}

replacing red with your # colour

I think I'll advice them to get a web developer instead. It's still not the way they want it and they ask things I can't do. I'm losing too much time figuring it all out
