custom 404 error page

Hi - I've tried and failed to create a custom 404 error page, following instructions I found to edit error.php in the template folder.

Having Googled a bit I discovered a reference to this in one of the forums here. The thread then continued on a ticket, so I couldn't see a solution.

But I take it Build.r has a facility to create a custom error page. Can anyone point me to it?

Is this a live site?

If so can you backup first

can you extract this file and upload it to the root of the template folder

And then test to see if it appears

For the search form to work you will need to have the search form page set up

I would suggest trying this on a development site first rather than a live site
