Cannot change or create modules

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

I have created a new Joomla installation I have then installed the Buildr template J3+_v1.3.2.zip and all the various other zip files as suggested on the download page.

I can change my template to Buildr but when I enter it to make changes, I went to layout and selected ‘standard’ it says it saved okay. I then go back to the Menu module to change the position and when I click on it I get a blank screen.

When I try and return into the template I get a message saying:

There is an error your theme’s data. Loading system defaults.

If I now try and create a new module all I get is a drop down box appears listing

With the module manager - have you recently updated the Joomla version?

If so try clearing the cache in your browser

Hi Paul,
Done the cache clearance and that seems to have it sorted!

Yes I am! I have tried to change the menu colour and then when I go to the front end I now have a blank page.

I have had this problem reoccur umpteen times over the last three days. I have tried a fresh install on each occasion and I have also tried using both the ordinary and the quick-start files, but this keeps happening. Every time I try change something within the template the front end goes blank.

Thank you for what you and Rob did on the ticket last night, that was fine this morning until I changed the menu text colour and now it is back to the last few words of my opening post at the top of this thread!

Just for any other user reading >

It happens after you update Joomla, the browser has the old Joomla js files cached.

Solution > You need to clear your browser cache so that you are using the updated files.
