Category blog, readmore and zen-shortcode

Here's one that's driving me batty.
www.quercusmoleculardesign.com/working/about

Is there something about zen-rows that creates problems? What I'm trying to achieve is a Menu item that is a category blog in order to utilize the readmore button feature in joomla.

But in the articles in the category "team" I also want the photo in a column to the left and the copy in a column to the right. And I want a readmore button to keep the page manageable when it loads.

Using this for all cateogry articles
{zen-row}{zen-3}photo{/zen-3}{zen-8}copy copy, etc. INSERT READ MORE more copy {/zen-8}{/zen-row}

I had it working fine for the first item for a bit, but it went south for the others. Now it's gone south for all. When the page loads, you will see the {zen} stuff on front end and it's not behaving. But when you click read more... the actual article loads the way I want it to look.

Is there a conflict I'm unaware of between zen shortcodes and category blog/readmore?

Any thoughts on it?

In addition, in the footer, where I've made three columns, it looked fine yesterday but suddently it doesn't work any longer.

Menu Item - About Us in main menu, type = category blog category = team Options, both intro text and readmore buttons selected to view.

I've also tried to achieve the same end by using a zentools2 module in the belowcontent position. List, using introtext and read more. Pretty much the same problem, the {zen-row} bits don't work in the module view, but look fine when the read more loads. the zentools title is QMD Team test.

Thoughts?

So in summary you have a blog page with a zentools2 module below it in the belowcontent position

For shortcodes layout syntax to work it needs to be matched up with opening closing tags for the row and width

{zen-row}
{zen-4}{/zen-4}
{zen-8}{/zen-8}
{/zen-row}

If they aren't it will commonly display the syntax plugin code

Are all the blog pages correctly created with the tags?

With zentools2

Enable plugins does need to be turned on

You can see this option with text options set to show

However if the tags aren't correct in the article it will not display correctly

Also if a text limit is added it can strip closing tags so if you have text limits try turning that option off

Here's the weird part:

I've tried 2 separate ways to achieve my goal, and both are currently up on the page to see if I can get either to work. www.quercusmoleculardesign.com/working/about

1. The menu item is a category blog, with the category "team" set. The articles are pulled in by the menu setting.

2. Zentools2 module in below content, grabbing the "team" category articles.

The articles themselves all have the readmore dropped in.

I've double and triple checked the shortcode syntax, and I know it is correct because when I click readmore buttons in both above options, the article comes up looking right, no syntax showing and doing what I want.

So the issue is how that content is being grabbed by both the blog category and the zentools module to bug out the shortcode.

There must be a setting I'm getting wrong.

I tried a third option, using tables rather than the shortcode to create columns, but that doesn't work with the readmore dropped in.

Zentoosl2 needs render plugins to render shortcode plugin syntax - is this enabled in the settings of the module?

Check the drag and drop section and any text elements to see if the render plugin is enabled

Sorry for the lack of a reply on the other thread

I need to talk to developers who have a mac rather than a ipad
