Hi Roy,

My suggestion was to test if using the login module inside an article provided a better solution

So the menu link points to a standard article and the login module is loaded via loadposition into this article

Cheers
Paul

Please excuse my ignorance, but How do I do this? If I create an article do I put the {loadposition myloginpositionname} in as code? if so, what goes in myloginpositionname?

1. The module you want to load in the article is created.
2. In the position tab of this module enter a unique module position that is not used anywhere else in the site e.g. in this case myloginpositionname.
3. In Menu Assignment tab assign module to all pages.
4. Save and close module.
5. Open the article you want to load the module in
6. In the article add the loadposition syntax together with the modules name. Adding the position name example for above means it would look like {loadposition myloginpositionname}

Thanks Paul:

What goes in the module that performs the login? I have done the steps you listed, but I don't get any login information.

I am recovering from surgery on my right hand, so I am slow typing, as well as drugged! Please bear with me :)

With the module I'd be using a login module and loading that into the article

Hope you are feeling better soon

OK, drugs at work! I knew that, but it didn't register. I just used the module in the offcanvas position and that works.

Thanks,

Roy

Does the module work better for you re-direction wise?

It works fine. When I login it goes right to the homepage as I would expect.

Cool a good exercise :)

I've never actually used this menu link type

Glad we got there in the end and we both learned something :)
