Template will not install

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hi Paul:
I am trying to upload a new template - colorshift - to this site but get this message shown in the attachment.
It seems strange that it would not upload...
Any ideas?
tony

Hi Tony,

What is the filename you are trying to install?

Its not the quickstart is it?

Cheers

Hi Paul:
No, it is the template. However, I think I have found an issue with my server options...
I will get back to you as soon as they answer my email.
In the meantime, I am somewhat depressed at the 95th minute of the game!! 2-2!

Paul:
I just tried to use the Quickstart in MAMP (equivalent of WAMP) and I get an unusual message: restricted access
This is the first time ever I have had that message...
Any ideas!

Hi Paul:
So, it was a server issue that prevented me from uploading the template; but....
Here is the result of making it the default...

velacanada.org/mmp_upgrade/

Where can I make the adjustments to the menu system... is there a plugin that I should activate...

Hi Tony,

you mean so it fits on one line?

7 elements is quite a lot

I have made some progress Paul... There are a couple of issues.

1.The menu should fit on one line...
2.The background when hovered over should not be white
3.The Slideshow is going to the end of the page and needs a margin.

I have played around in the Zengrid Framwork and am slowly getting used to it. It really does look good!

Cheers,
tony

2. This is controlled by the settings in the template

I might not get this right first time but try

Design tab on left

Then sidebar on right and scroll down for menu

Then change the hover text colour and background

3. This is a full width row so I'm assuming you want to remove the full width so its the same width as the container or the menu?

3. Ok so you need to click the pencil icon on the right of the banner row of the settings

You may need to hover over the little space to the right of the positions to see the pencil

Once clicked it will open up the sidebar settings for this row

you need to scroll down and click on "Container Style"

Then click the "Make container fullwidth" button to disable fullwidth

Right moving on to task 1.

Try adding this to the custom css file

#menu.zen-menu.zen-menu-horizontal ul.first-level > li {
width: 15%;
}

#menu.zen-menu.zen-menu-horizontal ul.first-level > li:nth-child(3) {
width: 20%;
}

Hi Paul:

Well, it is a bit of a confusing Zengrid... So, I will go to the Documentation and give it some serious study.

Then, come back to it and start over....
It is the Build.R method that is confusing...

I will get back to you... thanks so far!
