How to add new row/grid to template

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hi all

Just wondering how you add another row/grid/position to a template. I followed the zen grid4 instructions here and got the new position to show up in the design tab of the template builder but when I try to add a background image it looks ok in the backend but doesn't add anything in the frontend. There are also no css rules created for the new row/position/grid.

I am using builder 1.3.2

Hi,

I think the best option would be to create a child theme which can override the default output.

You can find more information here: docs.joomlabamboo.com/joomla-template/buildr-documentation/style/using-child-themes

More specifically: docs.joomlabamboo.com/joomla-template/buildr-documentation/style/using-child-themes#adding-child-theme-layout-blocks

Regards,

Rob
