understanding layout settings

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hi,

I have not been able to grasp this yet:

- General Setttings>Layout>Breakpoints: are these when each is triggered (Nav Collapse is triggered at this pixel)? If so, should Nav Collapse match Tablet Max Width if you want Nav to go to Off Canvas Trigger Mobile at a pixel size??

- Row>Display>Responsive Control:
----"No Change" (what does this mean?)
----Nav Collapse (here vs. in Breakpoint Settings)

These are general questions for all templates but specifically I have a Main Nav Menu, a More Menu (off-canvas trigger), and an Off Canvas Trigger Mobile to show Main Menu and the More Menu. This works correctly on Desktop and Smart phone but nothing shows from 768-800px.

Thanks,
Helen

"The power of posting" - I just fixed the specific Nav problem. :)

But I forgot to mention my other problem.

I have the Social Mobile and the off canvas trigger mobile in the Toolbar row. When it is triggered, it floats layer on top the logo row rather than stack on top.

Thanks,
Helen

If I can change the position: fixed to position:relative for the toolbar row, it'll stack. Can't find that setting.

Hi Helen,

Are you referring to Social Icons? (in the settings > Design > in the right sidebar)

Social icons position

And changing to "relative"

Cheers

Hi Paul,

Not Social Icons, Mobile Social Icons.

Thanks,
Helen

I have Social set to fixed and mobile social set to relative but the mobile social remains fixed.

Hi Helen,

Sorry can you confirm what you want to achieve?

"When it is triggered, it floats layer on top the logo row rather than stack on top."

With stack on top - what position are you referring to? top?

Cheers

Hi Paul,

Right now it is layered on top of the logo row hiding part of the logo row. I want it to not be layered but to live in its own row, like a brick on top of a brick. :)

Thanks,
Helen

Hi Helen,

I think for this I'd try hiding the social icons completely and instead try zensocial and use a class so it only shows on mobile width

Is that an option?

Cheers
