mega menu in other position than menu

As soon as I move my menu module from the menu position into the top1 position I loose all the mega menu features. How do I get a drop down menu in the top1 position?

Hi

A lot of the menu functionality is linked to the menu position - I'll need to check on this

But the docs say you can have a drop down in any position like footer, top, sidebar, ...

The mega menu is different than simple drop downs I'm afraid

Okay, but how do I get the mega menu functionality into the other positions like the docs mention it?

Hi

I've tried this locally in build.r and it works for me locally but you will need to adjust the styling

I dragged and dropped the menu into the top row and saved - is that what you tried?

I do not need the menu position in the top row. I need the main menu in the menu position and the user menu in the top1 position with the same mega menu functionaöity as the main menu in the menu position.

Right, so to be clear the question is - that you want two instances of the mega menu on the same page?

I dont know how I should call it. I need these menus with drop down, slogan, module integration in my template:

user (top1)
settings (grid7)
main (menu)
contribute (sidebar1)
footer (footer)

I'll need to take a long look in the morning but the template only supports one mega menu instance as far as I'm aware

If that setup is not possible then I really need the issue www.joomlabamboo.com/index.php?option=com_kunena&view=topic&catid=691&id=117302&Itemid=215 solved.

Rob has looked at this a lot for you - this is what he came up with

zen-menu zen-menu-horizontal zen-menu-below in the module class

and

nav-pills as a menu class

You will need a space I think before the first class name for module and menu as well

this does work for both me and rob testing on buildr to top1 position

Thank you guys, that helped. The only thing that is not working on the additional menu is the fade out. The drop down container is immediately hidden but I will try to fix that on my own.
