In the screenshot, note that I have room to put the blog page title into the fixed menu - except there is no module available (though I am about to see if I can add a custom html and assign it to spacer) - so perhaps a title block that might be useful in some layouts. To wit:

i put a background image in the header and z-indexed the mainwrap to ride above it.
