buildr is the worst template I have seen on your site

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

I am sorry to say but Xero was a bit dodgy, responsive2 was hard to handle but buildr is a beast I cannot tame. The outcome is unpredictable after applying changes, buttons disappear in the backend and on the other hand there are thousends of save buttons where I dont know which to press first or at all ...

The two major issues that drive me crazy for hours now:

1. when I copy the onepage style and access it, it has the xero style assigned and the default layout .... what??? When I go ahead and do "load saved settings" > onepage, the chaos breaks loose and the front end falls appart

2. Menu: "... For instance if you have a module published to grid1, grid,2 grid3 or grid4 then the menu item called Grid1 - Grid4 row menu text will appear on the page." That is not true, I have modules in those positions and nothing appears on the front end. On a phone I see an empty dark tinted bar at the top of the screen, thats all.

I assume there is no solution to these problems hence I do not expect a reply, just wanted to let you know that buildr should not be the base for future templates.

Hi There,

1. Regarding this issue - I've just tried this on a live test server and its working for me

docs.joomlabamboo.com/zen-grid-framework-4/overview/Importing-template-settings

I have a template preset called onepage in template 1 (preset which I saved) and I've then duplicated the template style in template manager

I've opened the new template style and clicked to import / load the previously saved preset

buildr-1.png

and then saved

Are these the steps you did?

Cheers

2. For this one if you click the pencil icon in the template settings and go to display tab and check "Responsive Control" what does it show?

Thanks for your feedback as always.

Can you explain a few things?
buttons disappear in the backend

Which buttons?
on the other hand there are thousands of save buttons

There are the same number of save buttons as there were in previous versions.

As Paul suggests below the other things are working for me.

2. Do you also have a word added to the menu item under the menus > onepage area?

1. Can you explain what you are doing?
when I copy the onepage style and access it, it has the xero style assigned and the default layout

How are you copying the style? If you are using the Joomla save as copy or duplicate template feature you need to also load the saved settings after that.

When I go ahead and do "load saved settings" > onepage, the chaos breaks loose and the front end falls appart

Can you be more specific? What breaks loose?

If you are looking at the home page I think it's related to the sample content that's used for the Backgrounder theme that doesn't look very good with the one page style.

If you choose the Koan style or Xero style do you get the same result?

Thanks
