background image not changing

Hi

Whenever I try to change the background image in Ascent2 it says "Message
Compiling less to css and saving your changes ...." and it won't save or change the image

It seems to hang up when compiling. When I refresh the page and go back, the image name is there where it says background image, but nothing appears on the site. I think it won't compile properly - doesn't seem to save the theme either. I've tried updating the theme.
