Slideshow on the home page looks terrible.

Dear Paulus et al.

The slide show on the home page which is in the banner position looks fine on a desktop computer but not on a cell phone. On a cell phone it doesn’t resize. See attached image. I think I asked about this before and your reply was “show a different module in that position on the home page” I have tried to see how I could do this but have come to the conclusion that it can’t be done using the method where I would put the mobile module in a different position and turn that position off for tablet and desktop. Then turn the banner position of for mobile.

The problem with this is:

1. The banner position is the only position which puts a banner above the content and below the menu. above places it in the wrong place and above content does also.

2. The banner position has other modules assigned to it that I would like to be viewed on a mobile device.

Please Look at the way the slide show ends up looking like on the mobile phone in the attached image.

Can I fix this somehow?

As always, thank you for your help.

Elizabeth

Hi Elizabeth,

This is one of the limitations of how backstretch works I'm afraid

With responsive hiding classes when added to a module it hides the module not the position

Which is different than using the template options

I am afraid that I don't know how to use them. Please let me know how to use responsive module classes to hide the SS on the home page in the banner position (mobile) and how to make another module in the banner position (mobile) but hide it on (tablet, desktop).

Also do I use the • before • hidden desktop?

Thanks for your help.

so the slideshow that is there now would have

hidden-phone

adding to the class suffix field

Are you familiar with the class suffix field?

The other module would have

hidden-tablet and hidden-desktop

so it would look hidden-tablet like hidden-desktop

with a space before each class name

Cheers

Yes I am familiar with module suffix classes but have never used them with the code hidden or visible.. Can you please look at the attached and let me know that I did it correctly? Thanks so much. Elizabeth
