Simple question, I would like to use Gazetta template for a new project, do you think there could be any constraint to using an old framework (Zen Grid Framework v4) in relation to the progress of Joomla (Joomla 4 and following version)?

At the moment we have tested on zgfv4 but the status of the Joomla 4 release isn't stable as yet as far as I'm aware

... I guess that at this stage you are not able to advise us whether to adopt your templates in ZGFv4 for future compatibility with Joomla 4?

It would be nice to keep us informed on your blog about Joomlabamboo templates and its evolution in relation to Joomla 4 (the Joomshaper team wrote an article about this topic on his blog)

Hi Lorenzo,

At the moment we need to bed in the people working in the development team before we take more of a look at Joomla 4.

I know some of the features in that blog post are still in development

I do appreciate the points you make and I will talk to the lead developer when he is back from holiday (10 days) and see what further testing we should do.

In the meantime, we need to release templates and extensions

At this stage, I don't know what issues may crop up with the frameworks

As we don't know what features will finally appear and how different they will look to what is currently in the build

I'd expect us to support zgfv4 with Joomla 4 but I can't be certain
We may decide to migrate templates from zgfv4 to zgfv5

Joomla 3.9 will be supported for some time I understand

I'm not an expert in the framework so without the lead developer I can't be very precise unfortunately

We did look previously but at that stage of development and unexpected changes to 3.7 / 3.8 release versions we felt our time could be better managed by waiting a bit
