I have created an accordion using ZenTools2 module, but the content which is rendered with li tags inside a ul tag set is not rendering in the expected mode.

Is this by design- i.e. has the css for these items been overridden? IF so, can you point me to where I need to fix this?

If not, can this be repaired?

Its by design so its needs to be overidden

#zentools-111.zentools ul li { list-style-type: circle;}

Try adding that to your custom styling
