I noticed after updating websites to Joomla 3.7 that Zen Tools 1 modules become disabled. I have been "migrating" my client's Zen Tools modules to Zen Tools 2 but now am doing so more rapidly.

Am I correct in assuming that Zen Tools (1) won't work in Joomla 3.7?

I have a Zen Tools Slideshow in a website made with "Inspire" that has some custom styling. Here you can see a test copy of the website with both slideshows, the Zen Tools 1 and Zen Tools 2 version below it. Will I be able to copy the styling of the original slideshow's tagline into the new slideshow?

In the first version of Zen Tools (1) tagline the title and text below drawn from the image name have different styling but it looks Zen Tools 2 only allows for one style by default? Can I use custom CSS to apply two and duplicate the styling of the Zen Tools (1) with the 2 text styles and the ribbon effect on the edge?

Are you using the latest version of zentools / zentools2?

Zentools1 and zentools2 are coded differently to stop things breaking or interfering with html/css or other module instances.

You can still target them individually if needed via css e.g. the naming of the module is different

I have the latest version of Zen Tools 2. maybe not of Zen Tools (1) . Should the latest version of Zen Tools (1) work with Joomla 3.7?

With zentools v1 yes you definitely need the latest version

Thank you. I am updating the Zen Tools (1) version now. I hadn't thought that it was still being updated after Zen Tools 2 came out.

It just has bug fixes or updates relating to php versions

So it should still work for you if using the latest version

I would suggest not updating Joomla to 3.7.0 for now

There are problems with Joomla caching and issues with the T3 plugin

If you have already updated T3 sites check to see if there are problems. If notices are showing you need to turn off css / js optimisation in the template settings

The upgrade works and I have bought myself more time for switching the modules. Thank you much.
