Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but what are the settings to make sure the slideshow is always the same ratio/fills space/gets cropped.

I was hoping there was a setting to be able to through any size image in a k2 item and have the slideshow enlarge them to width and crop the height if necessary.

I think it's exact resize or auto resize.

exact would skew the 4:3 images.

Smart Crop and Resize should do it but its enlarging the slideshow container instead of being hidden.

Are all of the images the same size?

If so then you could just make the height and width the same proportion of the original image. I can't see the original image though so if that doesn't work please post a link to one of them and Ill take a look.

I see that the image proportions have to match. I was hoping for a solution that the user could upload any size image (4:3, 3:2, 5:3, 5:4, 1:1, etc)and the 900x400 ZT2 image setting would enlarge 640x480 images to 900 and crop the top and bottom and it would reduce larger width images to 900.

It appears that I just have to watch for proportions that do not allow ZT2 smart resize and crop to fill the container.

Have you tried the 100% fill container setting? - this may be your best bet if you need to enlarge

I've not seen extensions that enlarge - working with imagery myself it can be a bit hit and miss sometimes and I would imagine have an overhead in performance
