Setting featured/non-featured items in Zentools2 Masonry Layout

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hi!

I have already a grid photo gallery made with Zentools2 module in my site (www.operedigitali.com/grafica-e-loghi/lavori-di-grafica). Layout is set to "grid" and content source is set to "images".
Now I want to trasform this grid in a masonry layout, to have different sizes of thumbnails, instead of all equal dimensions thumbnails. The images of this grid are in a specific folder.

Documentation says that to make masonry layout, the big thumbanils are the featured, and the tiny thumbnails are not-featured.
How and where to set featured/non-featured attribute of images?

Thanks!
Cheers

Hi

Featured refers to the status of the article in article manager
e.g. a featured article

You can also alter widths using the theme tab in the module settings and scroll down to masonry

This means that I must make an article for each image?
The problem is that there are a lot of images and this is expensive.

You mean in buying stock photography or in time?

...in time.
I made masonry layout for a little gallery, and works, but there is a margin between thumbnails that I can't eliminate.
I've set the gutter and the bottom gutter to 0% and 0px respectively, and I've also set item width and featured item width to 25% and 50% respectively, but there is always a margin. How to eliminate it?

Thanks!

It's hard to be exact given you will mostly likely have different image widths

I reduced the width and removed gutter width and bottom gutter width

Hi!

I made exactly how you said, I have inserted the value displayed in your post: 12% 24% 0% 0, but nothing changed.

It may depend on your image setting size

Did you either create a custom css or compile the master css in the same tab in the module?
