zentools2 update fails

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hello,
my update from version 2.2.3 to 2.2.4 fails (???)

I download the last version 2.2.4 and installed it using joomla's backend.
The installation process ends with "sucess"
But after checking the version it still the same...2.2.3
I have done already a few updates before using the same process.
There was no trouble before.

Everything on the Homepage is working fine...even the active zentools2 features
Do you have an idea?

Thank you

Cheers

HI Frank,

Sorry the xml wasn't updated with the last update. I will be releasing a new update tomorrow which will fix one last fix and it will fix this version issue.
Sorry for the trouble.

Hi Anthony,
thank you for quick reply!
I don't have trouble with it. It was just this update issue. Nothing important. Everything is working fine!

Just let me say that zentools2 is a great work you've done.
It just keeps getting better!
Wish you success with it

Cheers Frank

Hi there

We are also experiencing the same issue as at 4 April 2016 (we downloaded the package on the same date from your website). It seems to update ok but the version number showing remains at 2.2.3.

I'm assuming that it has actually updated but simply does not show the new version number in the backend?

Thanks

Hi Brian,

We released an extended template release and its possible we may have re-introduced the problem we had before with a very minor update

sorry for the confusion on the version number - this will be fixed this evening.

Are you having any particular problem with the module?

Cheers

Hello Paul

Thanks for your reply.

When I first tried to get to grips with the Zentools module a few months ago I couldn't get it to work at all. Perhaps it was some system setting or extension conflict we had on our site back then. In any case I've tried playing around with Zentools over the last 30 minutes on localhost and things seem to be working much better now. I'll spend more time on it over the next week or so and see if I can get the hang of how it all works because it has some excellent features we would like to use.

Regarding version numbers I've attached a PNG screen grab of the zentools plugins etc installed on our site. I'm pretty sure we have updated them all to the latest versions. However it seems that the version numbers shown do not necessarily correspond with the actual versions installed? Is there somewhere else we can double-check if the correct versions are installed?

Thanks for your help.

Hi Brian,

The latest version is always available via the download page

www.joomlabamboo.com/downloads/template-downloads?param=zentools2

with version numbers here

docs.joomlabamboo.com/changelogs/zentools2-changelog

You do look like you have the latest version and its a glitch with the xml file that should say 2.2.4 has been added back as 2.2.3

sorry for the confusion - I can't fix this myself but will ask first thing when the developers are online (different time zones)

Cheers

Hi Paul

Thanks very much for letting me know about the Zentools 2.2.5 update. I have installed this and can confirm it correctly shows the version number in Extensions: Manage section in Joomla backend.
