Help with the slideshow-backstretch

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

The images aren't displaying for me. Moreover, the arrows and thumbnails are in strange places. Attached are the settings I have set.

Check you have the latest zentools2 version installed - v.1.0.4 - it might solve your problem here, I saw something similar last week with earlier versions.

Otherwise try adding 5 to the limit per folder box to pull images from a single file, that is the same number as in Count box. If that does not help I'm sure the JB team will get on to it for you and provide a solution.

Last thing they will ask for a link to the site to take a look!

I tried adding "5" to the limit per folder part but it didn't help, and I was already using the latest version. I'm really at a loss as to what's wrong, because the slideshow works fine if I use a regular slideshow, but I want to use slideshow-backstretch because I noticed it made the navigation arrows look nicer (black arrow boxes, as opposed to a "prev" and "next" button).

Is there a way to make the black arrow boxes appear if I use the regular slideshow?

Hi there,
Thats a weird one - are you using v1.0.4? I can see the issue but keen to know what version you are using? Thanks

There seems to be position issue coming from the styling "position: absolute" from a very quick look.

In the first instance I would suggest re-installing zentools2 v1.0.4 (the latest version) over the existing install and then ensure you compile zentools2 to create either a master.css or custom.css file.

Ok, first I have to make sure I'm reinstalling correctly, because all I did was go to extension manager and upload and install the zentools2 v1.04 file. Is that right?

How do I ensure that it compiles?

Edit: I've essentially solved the problem by downgrading to the first zentools. It properly displays the slideshow, and has the better looking navigation buttons. Thanks for all the attempts to help, though!

For the support guys,

I too have the same issue on my site. I've since gone with a basic slideshow as the site is live.

One thing I noticed is each thumbnail seems to become active links (with an image border) as they scroll through the slide show. Seems the slide show is working from that aspect, except for the issue of not rendering the main slideshow image.

This is on a fresh install of v1.0.4 and I have compiled the master css.

If you need me to add sample slide module to my site, let me know.

Thanks

Don

Hi Guys

I've upgraded to v1.0.5 and Backstretch seems to work fine. I initially had the problem reoccurring with the new version but finally after some trial and error I found if the page also has a Zentools1 module published there seems there is a conflict (?). As soon as I unpublished the Zentools1 module, it worked just fine. Not sure if this was the issue with V1.0.4 or not?

Regards

Don

Hi Don,

I'm not sure on that one but I'd suggest only running one zentools version per page

There were updates in the latest version
