What position are the breadcrumbs published to?

It was published in 'breadcrumb'

I tried Grid1 without any luck, but it does work in header1 and sidebar1, where it is now.

In the template layout section I can't see 'breadcrumb' although it does show up in the list of positions.

I can see what I expected to see now

With the only link clickable being the home page

The second link is not active in the menu so it isn't clickable

Ok with the layout and how you are using the menu / sidebar combined with the custom css causes content to be overlapping each other

Can you try changing your custom css so it is

#menu.zen-menu-center {
height: 0px;
}

#menu {
min-height: 0px;
}

The breadcrumbs still don't link.

With your breadcrumbs this works for me when on a normal page

For example this page
