Undoubetly I'm missing something but the changes to colors, fonts, etc., do not show up in the website. The responsive2 template is set as default and when i save changes from the template setup panel, it shows compiling to less and compiling css then saving.

I've cleared site, browser caching but sill only see the default content and have tried it in FF and Chrome.

Although I do have admintools installed, I disabled it before starting to work on installing and modifying the responsive2 template.

Where am I going wrong? Thanks for you help.

When compiling do you see any error in the browser console window?

No, no errors are shown, seems to compile and save normally based on the blue progress messages at the top when saving.

What are you changing setting wise?

Changed the size of the off canvas menu panel, makeup of some of the positions among a number of things including colors.

Can you open a ticket and we can take a look

please include a summary of the problem
