One Page Scroll to Content Not Working Correclty

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

I've deployed the Responsive2 template to a brand new Joomla 3.x site and have tried adding a couple of modules to the page.

The modules show up and the the page looks fine except when trying to scroll to the different content sections (ie. Grid1 or Grid4) the template appears to mess up the page by adding some extra space and not scrolling to the correct location.

What can I do to to fix this, or what am I doing wrong?

The template is set up with the default [example] - One Page settings and as I mentioned I've only just created 3 modules, and added each to a different position (Grid1, Grid5 and Grid13).

The first and second module are tow instances of a slide-show module and the 3rd is a custom HTML section which includes a few images.

I've tried disabling CSS effects, and have tried disabling image lazy loading without any success.

Hi

Do you have a link for the site?

Sure,

Here is an example page with the problem:

leavitt600.com/

If you load the page and just scroll down it works fine, however, when using the nav links the page gets messed up.

I suspect it's an incompatibility with the slider since if I take that out other modules seem to be working ok but if it's an easy fix it might be beneficial to fix the template.

No, lazyload is not enabled. But I have tried with it both on and off.

Hi Mike,

The issue is that #zen-wrap needs to wrap all of the items in your layout. That div is used to control the height of the offcanvas menu and in this case it's height gets set but pushes the other items down the page.
If you move the blocks back inside the wrap it should remove that space.
Thanks

Hi Anthony,

Thanks for explaining what the problem is.

I've looked at the rendered page and it looks like when I include the slide show module it causes the following grid rows to be rendered outside of the #zen-wrap. I'm guessing the problem is in the slide show module; most likely it is closing one to many divs (or something like that) and pushing everything else out.

My follow up question is whether it is possible to enable One Page without the OffCanvas menu?

Do you get the same if you move the slideshow position up a row?

Sorry to be clear you change the position the slideshow is positioned to e.g. to a grid5 position for example

You can changed the responsive menu section via the

Responsive tab in the template settings > Collapsed Menu Behaviour

Yes - as I said, the problem has been with the slide show module. I was able to fix it by reviewing the module's rendering code and fixing the bug (removed an offending extra </section> tag)

It wasn't working when I tried it but it might have been also because of the broken slide show. I will give it another try and if it's still an issue I'm going to start another thread so as not to hijack this one.

Thanks so much for your help so far!

No problem

The section tag - were you using text content?
Which zentools version were you using and what was the slideshow layout used?

Just trying to work out where the problem is with that
