Content of "Default Page" page not displaying

Hi,

I'm quite new to Joomla and designing websites, and I have an issue where any page on the first level of the main menu will display properly, that is, until I make it the "Default Page".
When set as the Default Page, it only displays the main menu, the social buttons and the sidebar menu. The content (e.g. article) does not show.

To be clear, when I set another page as the default page, the page that used to not work suddenly works.

Never mind..
While writing the post I figured out what to search for.
