Template max width

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

I'm not able to change our site's template width in Responsive2. The site is test.chigov.com.

In Template Manager, I've increased the setting of Theme > Template Max width from its original value of 960 px to as high as 1100 px--with no discernable effect on the site's appearance.

I've tried this on both Firefox and Safari browsers.

Note that this parameter works as expected in Responsive v. 2.2.3.

Sorry, Paul, I'm not clear on what you're asking.

Do you want me to resend the screenshots of our Template Manager > Theme settings? If not, please clarify.

I just changed the Template Max width from 960 px 1100 px, Paul. It had no effect.

Hi there,
In the source of the page I see the max-width set to 1100px.

In the responsive tab you can see a second value that refers to the % applied to the container when the screen is reduced.

Currently it's set to 80%.

So the two values work like this:

1. Width in the template style panel - determines the overall maximum width of the theme if the browser is wider than that value. eg 1100px on screens larger than 1200px or so.

2. The % values in the responsive tab control the space between the container and the edge of the browser when the browser is smaller than the max width.

Something like 94% will take it to full width. The grid uses a -ve margin on the parent so 100% will push it beyond the browser width.
Hope that clears it up.

Thanks for the explanation, Anthony.

I didn't think to play with the Container width.
