Hello! Thanks in advance for any help anyone is able to offer. I have read the docs about turning slideshow off, and that is handy, but what I am after is to replace that with a video player to display an animation.

I am now assuming that there is no pre-built solution in the template, but if anyone could tell me the best way to go about doing this, that would be awesome. Just a point in the right direction should do the trick.

Is the animation a file hosted on your server or an external site?
What file format is the animation?

It's an MP4 file on the same server

So far this is what I have.... even tho I still have some work to do (adding the menu in a new place, fixing video background to flush with banner overlay, etc....

Not sure this template is going to work out for my overall desired effect

Yes thats possibly going to require a bit of customisation to get this working.

You can edit the tpls/blocks/background.php.

You should see the markup used for the slideshow there and perhaps you could just replace that with the embedded video object.
