Main Menu missing

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hi all,

I just started with the joomlabamboo templates (I'm not new to joomla).

I used the Venture template but have a strange fault. The Mainmenu is not visible. There is a grey block on the top of the page, but no menu.

How can I fix this?

Alain

Hi Alain,

Have you tried re-installing the template? - something odd has happened and I can see script errors

Also you have a module published to the menu position?

Sorry for my late reaction, some private issues..

OT: I have now added the Focus2 template to the last 2 menu items ('kalender','fotomuur') and these also only show the "home" button and nothing else.
The status now is:

home -> some default template
leden -> Venture template > no mainmenu at all
kalender -> Focus2 > only home button (which isn't working)
fotomuur -> Focus2 . only home button (which isn't working)

This is the root link: fotoclub.nl.alvast-online.nl/

Would really like some help, because I have the feeling I couln't get any further right now...

Thanks

Alain

Hi

With the menu not displaying at all - you have the menu published to the menu position?

With the Venture template you have the latest installed?

Hi,

Yes, the menu is displayed at the menuposition (see screenshot)

Venture should be the latest, it is installed less then 4 weeks ago (when the problem started)

The position name is "menu" not "mainmenu"

Thanks,

For Venture, this was the solution!

Unfortunately, for Focus2 it didn't work... (trying all the different 'menu' position under the different templates)

Any clues?

Do you know the issue with focus? I am planning on using that template too at another site.

I'm not sure what you mean with the 'one page menu?'

A one page menu - is this enabled or are you going to implement it?

no it isn't enabled. it wasn't one of the first things on the list to implement really...

Can you explain me what this one page menu has to do with the normal menu? Maybe I'm just not getting it?

The one page is a different menu set up it can look like how your site does

Just for further information regarding a one page menu - it is module driven so it relies on Module positions and those links being named in the template settings

Allright, thanks for the info.
For now I would like to use the normal menu,which is still possible right?
Any ideas on how to use it properly?

Looking at the html I do see this

<div id="onepage">
<ul class="nav navbar-nav">
<li class="">
<a data-name="home" href="#home-link">Home</a>
</li>
</ul>
</div>

Yep you can certainly use the normal menu but at the moment it does look like the one page menu is enabled on

fotoclub.nl.alvast-online.nl/kalender

Paul,

Indeed it was enabled... didn't remember doing that myself to be honest...
I disabled it and the (normal) menu is now visible in Focus2 and Venture!

This is the solution for my problem, Thanks!!

one small question yet: What should I do if I want to use the normal menu AND the one page menu together? (I eventually would like the one page menu in the off canvas position and still keep my normal menu)

Hi Alain,

As Far as I'm aware its not possible to combine the two

- although I can ask the developers later today if you are interested
