Hi There -

I am using focus2. There is a grayish overlay on the images in the background image on the frontpage of the one page design. I found that you are using an image called pixel.png . it is a 3x3 pixel image. I would like to change this image to a different color but am find that when i change it in photoshop and save it as a png and re-upload it , the back ground image actually disappears and i just get dots or a solid background. I get the feeling that I am using the wrong parameters when saving this document in Photo shop.

my pixel.png file is saved as a png24 transparent is that correct?

Is there something I'm missing?

Yes, the ticket is the same image. I changed it back while we were dealing with the other issue. I will upload a new image. And boom, background image gone. You can see site here:

cp.cloudaccess.host/

Thanks paul.

With the size its a bit hard to tell - can you upload a much much bigger version in this thread?

You may have to zip the file with it being a png24 - not sure on that

Are you able to add it as png with the repeating pattern so it's the same image as used in the background just much larger and with more dots

I tried smaller dots, but it did the same thing. I just replaced the original with a new pixel.png file, you can see the problem if you visit now: cp.cloudaccess.host/

The problem I have is I can't view the background at large enough repeating size to see what is happening

If I test with other textures from
subtlepatterns.com/?s=transparent

and stacked circles for example it works - looks terrible but it works

For example

.pixel {background-image: url(../images/stacked_circles.png);}

Paul - Upon your suggestion to put in a larger image, I found the answer! YAY!

For those who are having the same problem here is the answer:

Make an image about 300x300px leave a reasonable about of transparent space. Then reduce that image to a 1x1 or 2x2 or whatever size you want it to be on the screen. Then save as pixel.png and preserve transparency. Save to the image folder in the template. Refresh/clear cache.

I was working on an image that was 1x1 and did not have enough transparent space! That's it.

Thanks for your help!!
