Mobile menu Select Box doesn't work

I use the following:
Joomla: Joomla! 3.4.5 Stable

JB Colour Shift
Zen Grid Framework Plugin 3.0.7
Zentools2 1.1.5
zentools2 Package 1.1.3

Somehow the menu does not 'fold' to Select Box
Although the Template setting was set to:
Enable Responsive: Yes
Enable Mobile Viewport Tag: Yes
Enable mobile menu: Select Box

I just cannot get it to switch to the select box setting.

What am I doing wrong? Is there some good manual to show exactly which setting influences what on my site?
