zen menu

Hi

I am using Rasa2 and have all the extensions installed. I don´t get the hover function to work on the main menu. It only works when I first click on one of the menu items. Then when it´s active it works in some cases. I just want the submenus to activate by hover not by clicking.

I just started building the page. Please help me out to figure out the problem. Here is the link to the page www.dogsterandfriends.se

Thanks

M

If you turn off that option in the template do you get a better result?

Hi

No it is the same result. Is there a function that make you choose to click on the menu to activate the hover effect?

Thanks

Hi

It may be a styling conflict on the menu, left over from the vanilla joomla install.

You could try opening the menu module, for your main menu, from the module manager, then remove the module and menu classes nav_pills and _menu in the advanced parameters for the menu module. Save and close. Refresh the browser etc.

I hope that helps.

Hi

I tried your suggestion and removed the nav_pills and _menu but it did not help.

Hi

Bingo, problem solved. Thanks

Now I have another problem instead . I have a zen2 module displayed as a picture gallery and it worked with no problem before. Suddenly the pictures will not show any more in the module. I have also tried to change module position but I can´t see the pictures. What is the problem this time?

Thanks

Have you used loadposition for the module?

Have you installed any new extension using jquery?

right - so assuming you've not used it but I will explain as its really useful

You can use the joomla core plugin loadposition to load positions added to modules

so you would create a module as normal but type a new unique position name in the module position box and assign it to all pages

then in the article or module (normally it's an article) add the loadposition syntax

{loadposition myuniqueposition}

Back to your question

Do you have jquery loading in the module?

That option is in the settings tab

If its loading can you disable it and vice versa

Hi

Thanks for your answer. The load position sounds very interesting, I must try it.

It was not loading jquery in the module. I also tried to turn it on but no difference. I also published a new image gallery in another position and that only shows the thumbnails, nothing else. And where the first image gallery is placed nothing at all is shown. Srange

Another strange thing is that the menu is not showing when I check in my mobile. It is still working on my ipad mini but in my iphone the menu is gone. I have the following settings

nav collapse 700px
grid collapse 850px
tablet max width 800
phone max width 620px

Thanks
