Header & Footer

Hi
I am having a couple of problems with the CSS in my Rasa2 template, and would be grateful of some help, please. Site is consult.claritywebdesign.co. Joomla 3.4

1. You will notice that the image in the image in the header does not stretch to the same width as other screen components: what is making this happen? This is best seen on the comments page.

2. How do I make the footer the same width as the other page divs, and not stretch the full width of the screen?

3. How can I manipulate (ie reduce) the space which exists beneath the navigation bar?

Many thanks
Miles

Hi Miles,

1. I think you just need a wider image

2. Its the background colour for the row rather than the content being full width - so it would depend on what you wanted to do background colour wise

3. Are you planning to add a breadcrumbs module as some of the space is breadcrumbs padding?

Cheers
Paul

Hi Miles

For point 1, in addition to a bigger [wider] image that Paul mentions, it may help if you moved the image from the module position "header" to say "banner" which is usually the full width of the template, or maybe logo for this site.

The header position applies both some padding to the left and the left border that you see on your site. I guess you are not wanting either. In Rasa the header position is to the right of the logo [in that same row] and has a left border as a visual divider.

Regards
Ian

Many thanks Ian - the logo position is a much better option for what I want.

Thanks Paul - the first issue is now sorted.
As for the other 2, I will not be using Breadcrumbs, and the attached image shows what I am trying to do with the footer.
I have changed the height of the breadcrumbs to 0px but I would still like to reduce the space between the Navbar and the content
Thanks for your help

Hi Miles

It looks like you've made changes regarding borders so this may no longer apply

Try targetting this style

.main-content-inner {padding-top: 32px;}

that is the style currently apply

Many thanks, Paul - that's done the trick with the padding beneath navigation bar.
