When I view my website on a tablet in portrait or on a mobile, My menu drops open by pressing on the three horizontal bars.

Is it possible to actually have the word menu next to those thre bars just as you have on the front page of Joomlabamboo?

You can change the text before or after the menu bars.

It is located in the menu > offcanvas section under offcanvas trigger text field. Just add whatever text you wish. The zen-bars syntax displays the menu bars you currently see, you can leave them or replace them to suit your site. If you also use offcanvas as a module position this also shows for this trigger as well.

I have gone into the template / menu and down to Offcanvas and typed in the word Menu, please see attached file for screenshot but that has not done anything for me!

In Joomla admin, go templates and open the JB template you are using for the site.

There are tabs running down the left hand side, select one for menu

In this tab scroll down until you see the offcanvas section.

This has several fields, one you need is bottom right, off canvas trigger text.

By default it will have (zen-bars )(/zen-bars), brackets should be curly bracket though, you can replace this with Menu. This would replace the bars with the text menu.

Thank you Ian I found that, if you look at the screen shot in my last post you see that I wrote Menu between the Brackets:

{zen-bars}Menu{/zen-bars}

Needless to say that did not work so, now I have taken out evrything and just typed:

Menu

But that has not made any difference. When I view with an iPad in portrait or mobile phone I still only get three horizontal bars displaying on the menu bar.
Which seems strange considering I have all removedall reference to zen-bars out of that box!
