Nope. It still doesn't work in core articles or Protostar.

I've not seen anything about issues with k2 and shortcodes

I've found using the html editor does get better results

Yes I use the html editor when adding the syntax.

I think you changed the layout - I have tried it in k2 and it worked for me

Same issue in Protostar.

Do you get the same if the grid six are paired up rather than split?

I get the same issue if I switch to Protostar template which means my overrides should not be the issue.

This also was working fine for months.

Do you know when it stopped working? - was it after a Joomla update?

Since it fails with Protostar I assume the zenlast question is moot.

no idea when it stopped. I'm disabling extensions to no avail....
