I have zen icons set for each menu item, for Linkedin in the social buttons, and in class suffixes for both sidebar modules. No icons are appearing, except for the original Home from the Quickstart package.

None of them are really shortcodes, but the shortcode plugin is enabled, and the full FontAwesome library is set.

In each case Firebug is telling me that the ::before content is missing.

Thoughts?

Do you have loading of fontawesome disabled in the shortcode plugin?

This is the QuickStart downloaded 2 days ago, and everything is fully updated.

Version: Xero - 1.3.2 | ZGF v4 1.3.2

FontAwesome is enabled in the Zen shortcode plugin, which is enabled.

Can you disable fontawesome in the plugin

"Load Font Awesome css" and set to disable

If you have updated the template it does need to be compiled and saved after a template update

Disabling FA in the plugin, plus re-enabling the full FA library in the template, then save/compiling the template worked.

One further note for those who stumble on module FA issues: I needed to add "-icon" to the module class suffixes.

So the shortcode "zen-tag" needs to be "zen-icon zen-icon-zen-tag" for modules. You can't just copy the code from the demo page. It's easier on the menu since you can pick the tag.

You can add icons via the JB Menu option and also use the shortcode syntax in module titles
