I am looking to edit the background colour for the top menu. This is not editable in the template framework, although i think you mentioned somewhere that Antony posted some updates around the topmenu in Xero.
Could you let me know how I should configure this with bootstrap or otherwise.

If you install the latest version

then open the template settings then click the theme tab there is now the row style section

The row option will change the background colour the rest (the blue in the demo) depending on what you want to do is likely to be custom styling/tweaking

Hi paul,

The demo shown features no change in row background, but does show an ability to set the Navbar Link Active Background. This is a template feature that is readily adjustable for the main menu.

Is there a page that shows how to apply the custom styling to these other rows, thus enabling to define the Navbar Link Hover or Navbar Link Active Background?

I am primarily requesting this configurability in relation to the top row, the other rows are of less concern.

Its referencing just the background colour for different row

if you want to change just the top row background colour of links you would need to use developer tools from Chrome to work out what css you needed to change

It is for sure useful to be able to change the row background, especially as it can be set for each template style.

If I use chome to look at the css and make changes through the custom css is that good? Or should I use the less stylesheet?

I'd suggest using the custom.css if its small changes you intend to make to the site

If you are stuck with the css try your best and then ask us
