Theme changes not saving

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

Hello

I am running Xero v1.03 on Joomla 3.3.6 (all freshly installed).

I can't get changes to the theme to save (I've saved and compiled and saved the changes to template but the template theme jumps back to beach).

Additonally, the template seems to have lost the menu once the theme compiled.

Thanks

Hi Jexell,

Is this on localhost or live server?

If its live can you supply a ticket and Ill look straight away - otherwise if its local can you supply the details of your setup?
Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for the details.

Ive just logged in and changed some settings and compiled etc and it seems to be working.

What specifically were you trying? Which browser are you using?
Thanks

I've tried both chrome and IE 11.

I was trying to use flat or bootstrap theme as a base, save as a new theme name and then change primary color to 1A5EAB (I want to do more but couldn't get this to save).

I can't seem to save anything from template manager, it just jumps back to prior settings. I can change primary color and compile but if I them try to save the template, I lose the changes.

thanks

Jon

Hmm Ok - I just changed the primary color to pink.

Can you try now?
1. Change the primary colour
2. Click save and compile
3. View the front end - shouldnt need the top left save button

Thanks

That works but only up to a point - if I don't save top left in theme manager, I lose the changes I make when I just select close?

thanks

You need to press one of the save buttons at least though. Perhaps I misunderstood.

Basically
- toolbar button saves all data
- Save and compile saves the theme data and then compiles the less.

Which did you press after making the change?

Thanks

If I change something and select save and compile, the change is shown in front end correctly.

However, if I then select "save" or "save and close" from Joomla template manager options, I lose those changes (so for example if flat is selected, I change the primary color and when compiled it is ok but when I save and close and then reopen the template it has gone back to 2980B9).

Ok thanks - Its a bit weird and is perhaps what some others have been seeing. It does it for the first or second time but then not again - just saved ten times and it was fine.
Will try to replicate locally. If you save a number of times in a row is that what you see?
