I am having a hard time with the positions in the Newstream2 template.

On some pages the footer shows up to far down even though I have put it in the grid13 position
It is also too far down in the footer position.

Hi Elizabeth,

The main content area has this template style

#main {
margin-bottom: 60px !important;
}

You may want to add this to the custom.css file and adjust the 60px value as required

Funny the CSS that you gave me worked for the site that is still on my server

(Note that the footer is closer to the main content area)

but not on the site which is now live:

the rule:

#main { margin-bottom: 0px !important; }

was placed in the custom.css file for each site.

And I just compared each footer module and they are identical and also in the same position of grid 13.

I have refreshed my browser numerous times. Can you think of any reason why the live site is not cooperating?

For a delay on a new style being rendering I'd check

1. Global config for caching
2. An optimising extension like JCH Optimise
3. The Cache plugin
4. Server caching e.g some hosts have it on by default - like Siteground do. I frequently forget this one myself and then remember to change it in the cpanel
