The ZenKit template for tabs has the best layout for RSS icon and Featured image. I wish they all could like more like this one. Although the Featured Image should be a few pixels more to the left in order to have the right edge lining up with the end of the horizontal bars in the title space and also the right edge of the main image.

There is a small problem with this Tabs template in that the Links Count and Columns for links options are being disregarded. Generally we select the higher number of columns here to get the images to be smaller and the lower number of columns makes the images bigger. But, in this case no matter what you choose the images are stretched to the largest space possible to fill the container. So, I think it is possibly a bit of a bug.

I like that the RSS Icon is below the breadcrumb and above the Item Title. This is a great place for it to be on all the layouts if you ask me!

And, the featured just needs to be "reigned in" to fit within the column that contains the K2 Image and the Horizontal lines.

If we could do this for EVERY template I believe life would be wonderful again! ;->

This is correct I think as it takes its position as per the top line

But if you wanted to adjust it

.itemListView.tabs div.catItemIsFeatured {background-position: 98% 0;}

the default k2 style is 100%

That fixed the problem with the Tabs Template. I ended up nudging it a bit more by using 97% instead of 98%.

This did not improve all of the layouts but it certainly improved Tabs.

Its using the tabs class so its specific to this layout

Would it be possible, or even a good idea to apply a fix like this to all the layouts?

I am seeing the Featured not lining up properly on other pages as well:
