Menu issues when "optimize js" turned on.

I'm using Newstream 2, all extensions and Joomla are up to date. When I enable the "Optimise JS" option in the template/General page, the hover function on my main nav bar stops and the accordion function on my sidebar menu stops also.

Sorry I think I missed the period it was turned on

Think perhaps a ticket might be the best option

will do, had to turn it off again, impacted the site too much, also the article images degraded quite a lot.
