Updated Lifestyle on 2.5 to Lifestyle2 J3.64

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

i just updated from 2.5 Lifestyle template to J3.64 with Lifestyle2 (updated t3 as well and as many extensions as i could think of) and i am having some layout issues. The whole template seems to be shifted to the left and some of the modules are not appearing and i am wondering how to get it back into shape.

original website is fivenations.ca/
the updated one is fivenations.ca/convert

It seems that the module positions are not the same layout so i will need to work around that but more important is the positioning issues.

Can you take a look and let me know if anything stands out to you?

Hi

What plugin framework version are you using?

have the positions reset in the layout section?

Cheers

i would presume t3 since it was asking for that to be installed before the template would display and i turned off the plugin for zengrid at the same time.

i can tweak some of the positions to help (increase margins, adjust padding etc) but i am hopping for a more generic solution to fix the big picture. also curious why the same module positions didn't get carried over. i am missing header positions and while i added more spotlight positions at the top they don't work the same way and are more fluid than fixed and pushes my content around in ways i don't like. is there an easy way to add those header positions back in?

Hi

What T3 plugin version do you have installed?

If something goes wrong with the plugin or installation it can sometimes set reset the layout to the default

I'd also disable any js compression / optimisation options

I have turned off optimize JS and here is the T3 details. no change at the moment. is the package possibly out of date? i am positive i grabbed a fresh download of T3 for the site when i installed the new framework to support the updated template.

It looks like you installed the T3 package which includes the T3 blank template which is a JoomlaArts template

The template supports the version on the download page and not the latest version

If you downgrade to that version and then compile less to css

I would also remove the T3 blank template if you aren't using it

i removed the blank templates as i was not using them. i also uploaded the t3 plugin that was listed with the template but there is no change. css and js compression are also off.

in reviewing the site i am finding another issue as well. i have two languages in this site but DO NOT use the language manager as the second language is not supported by joomla.

So i have two menus (one for each language) and i have them set to only display for each of the correct languages. this carried over in the upgrade and i checked the settings and everything looks correct.

the issue i am having is when i go to the cree side it displays the english menu. even when i unpublish the engligh menu module it still shows the english menu.

i checked the cree menu and it has the cree graphics for the menu (and the titles are named differently by item).

i don't understand why the incorrect menu is displayed and i am unclear on how to resolve this since i have been over the settings again and again and all look correct. these same settings in the "old" site are working perfect.

I'd open a new thread for the language issue as will get too complicated :)
