Accordain Side Menu Not Opening

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

any thoughts on why the side accordion menus are not opening. It looks like the sub menu items are there but the menu doesn't open up when clicked.

I have it set to pull from main menu
start level = 2
end = all
module class =accordion

What is the menu link type you are using for the parent item?

Try changing one item to either a menu header or text separator menu link type

Ok, I guess that works but raises a couple of other issues now, mainly it seems impossible to have a link that shows the category view.

Not sure I follow - it can be a link but not a parent link - is the problem you want the link as the parent?

this has also created some weirdness in the main menu nav that is using the same menu. Notice the first sub menu item 2013-2014 has lost it's indicator now that it is a menu heading.

What I wanted, like it was before. That you could click the year and see all the k2 category items for that year. If the menulink type has to change to menu heading (null) then we've lost that feature, and you can only see individual items, but you can't see a category grouping.

Regarding styling -

For a different menu module I'd use a different menu - that is the way we create the quickstart packages

If duplicate links are a problem try using the menu alias option

As much from a later user perspective as also a technical one

Regarding the menulink type click I'm a bit confused as the accordion has always needed a non clickable parent

- do you have an example of what you describe so I can check it out?
