K2 editing on front end

Is there anything within the client template that would prevent K2 editing on the front end? I've used K2 on templates from other companies without a problem, but have not been successful with yours. I have front end editing enabled; assigned a user group with the right permissions, and assigned the user to that group, yet I do not have either an "edit" button or a "new item" button on the front. Thoughts?

The administrator has disabled public write access.
I think you will need to open a ticket as I can't see the issue without having access details and you shouldn't provide those here
