ThemeMagic "Body Font Weight" setting not applying

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

When I change the "Body Font Weight" in ThemeMagic on my Base3 template the font weight does not change, however when I change the same setting in my Base3 demo site I can see the difference. I was hoping you guys might have some suggestions on where to start looking. Thanks!

Hi Tim,

Do you have a link for the site?

Hi Tim,

Are these the elements we are looking at?

#mainWrap h1 span, #mainWrap h2 span, #mainWrap h1 a, #mainWrap h2 a, #mainWrap p, #mainWrap div, #mainWrap li {
color: #000000;
font-weight: 300;
}

I believe so, that looks right. I changed the font weight to 400 in ThemeMagic but it does not seem to be applying.

And you've saved the style change in theme magic and then compiled less to css?

Correct. The changes do not show in the ThemeMagic preview like they do when I change the setting on my Base3 demo site. I do see other changes in the preview, like if I change font size or color.

Are other changes to other settings saving and applying when you view the site?

Are you seeing any error in the browser console window when saving or compiling?

Does the font you have selected support that particular font-weight?

Yes, it's using Open Sans which I think is the default for the theme.

I think with the standard open sans variant it doesn't support 400 - do you get a difference if you use 600?

Doesn't change with 600 either, I know 400 should work as it does in the demo site with the same settings. I am wondering if something is corrupt or if one of our extensions is somehow causing an issue.

If you paste the line

#mainWrap h1 span, #mainWrap h2 span, #mainWrap h1 a, #mainWrap h2 a, #mainWrap p, #mainWrap div, #mainWrap li {
font-weight: 400;
}

into the custom.css file does it change?
