T3-based template inter-dependence issue

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

I unpublished Purity 2 many month ago when I installed Base 3.
(Purity 2 is a free Joomlart template using the T3 framework.)
The Base3 template has been great.
I decided today to unistall the Purity 2 template because I kept getting reminders to update it. I was not using it, so I thought I'd remove it.
It seems that uninstalling Purity 2 has also removed elements that Base 3 requires to operate properly.
I now have to fix:
the menu (drop-down no longer works)
zentools (tabs) also stopped working
No preview in Theme Magic
Grid positions are all wrong/non existant

Is there a simple fix for this - perhaps reinstalling Base 3?
I've tried reinstalling the latest T3, but no difference.
Any help would be greatly appreciated - especially as this is a live site and I depend on it to work properly.

thanks, Nick

Hi Nick,

Sounds a js conflict in part

I'd try re-installing the template

Do you have a link?

Cheers

You will see menu dropdown does not work, also
you will see all the manuals are now showing, whereas they were in zentools tabs.
Further down the page next to About Tree Fruit, and Popular articles, there is meant to be Zentools carousels in each of the blank sports to the right of the writing.

Try increasing the version of jquery used in jqueryeasy

Uncaught Error: Bootstrap's JavaScript requires jQuery version 1.9.1 or higher

You are awesome!
This is one extension I would never have gone to ( I think you may have suggested installing it a while ago, to fix a previous issue).
I have now set Error Reporting to 'System Default'.
Hopefully that will help me/you guys see and fix any future issues.

Hi Nick

Not sure that error would show in error reporting - its best to also use the browser console panel to see what errors are happening

Having error reporting set to none is good practice for live sites
