Base3 - logo on all pages ans slideshow

zentoolsIf you use Zentools please post a review at the Joomla! Extensions Directory.

I am working on a website using the Base3 template. As mentioned in the documentation, I have set the logo up on all pages using a custom html module published at the logo position. For some reason, the logo appears twice - once in the top left (where it is meant to be), but also in the menu bar on the left. How do I get rid of the logo in the menu bar? The website is www.zesthomeloans.com.au

Also, although I have set my photos up in the correct size for the slideshow beneath the menu, they are showing as small. Am I correct in assuming that once I get rid of the logo in the menu bar, that these photos will fit correctly?
In regards to the slideshow, how do I set different text for each image in the grey coloured overlay that appears on the right of each photo?

Hi,

If you check the layout tab of the template admin area, do you see 2 positions using the logo position name? If so you would need to change one of them to another name.

There is currently a banner and banneraside position in the banner row so you would need to change this to only be one position.

Regards,

Rob

Thanks Rob :)

I got rid of the second logo by changing the position to "none", but how do I delete the "banner-aside" position?

Also, how do I change the menu to sit on the left or right?

Hi Sharene,

Have you tried clicking the eye to hide the position and making the banner full width of 12?

And menu alignment is at the bottom of the layout tab in the template settings - you will need to scroll to see the setting

I worked out the menu alignment, but I'm not sure what you mean by clicking the eye? And how do I make the banner a full width of 12?

It would come from either the filename or the article depending on how you set the zentools module up

It would be one of the overlay themed slideshows but I'd experiment with them all to see how they look

Actually - it's created another issue. I changed the names of the photo files to what I wanted the title to be, but when I went to upload the newly named images, it comes up with an error:

How do I have a title with spaces in it?

I have attached screen shots of the slideshow setup:

In pic 2 change the separator to underscore

this_file_name_separator.jpg

Joomla won't strip the divider and will work fine

Also as an added bonus if you are using the JCE editor it will strip the underscore when the image is used in an article

Leaving some nice alt tags :)
