K2 rating stars are missing, what happened?

Is this with the latest version of Base 3 and k2?

As that image is missing and the path is wrong

Yes, it's the latest version of both.
The stars used to be there before changing the template.

When I compare k2.css your version is older

so it does look like an older version of k2

My K2 version is 2.6.8



The Css file may be older because it has customizations.

Is that causing the problem?

The css file is definitely older than the current version given the copyright date

This is the path I have

.itemRatingList, .itemRatingList a:hover, .itemRatingList .itemCurrentRating {
background: transparent url(../images/system/transparent_star.gif) left -1000px repeat-x;
}

in the css

which translates as

C:\wamp\www\base327082014\components\com_k2\images\system\transparent_star.gif

If you check out your path its referencing the template and an empty folder
